links search problem

links search problem
well after i installed links...I used the online editor to change my link interface..after I changed everything the search option got messed up and displayed everything differently on the search result page and the category result page...I tried to redit them but it just did the same thing and I put in the old html source but it did the same thing..please check it out here and if you know wats wrong please post a reply I would appreciate it..thanx

Have a look at your link.html template. It seems as though you accidently placed your header and footer in there.

ok heres the html i edited for it I'm sure I didn't insert any headers or footers..I Jus put the variable where i wanted them in Frontpage...any solutions???

You do NOT need all these codes for your link.html file, like the following:

well i tried and I'm getting the same problem...I don't know whats wrong I tried reediting the links.html, searchresult.html and the category.html template and I get the same thing..I have no solutions if anyone can help please I would greatly appreciate it..thanx

How have you changed these files? Because it seems that you have not taken my advice and changed the files in the format that I recommend. Wink

Why? Because you have multiple header and footer sections in your result page.

Let me try to explain again what you need to do....In your links.html file, you DO NOT need to have the <body><html> and top menu and bottom menu codes. ALL YOU NEED IS THE LINK INFORMATION TAGS AND CODES, LIKE I PROVIDED YOU BEFORE.

Do you understand now???
