Got everything installed, but on the links page that is built, it doesn't go to a link, it asks to download a file. Opening the file produces:Error: Can't increment counter file. Reason: Permission denied

I know it's a permission problem, but what file,where, and what permission?

You need to change the permission of the hits directory to 777 (drwxrwxrwx).
