error on install
I get the following error

I made a folder called "links" in my cgi bin...

So basically my url is http://www.missabs.com/cgi-bin/links/admin/admin.cgi

I get the following error though..

Premature end of script headers: /export/web9/gamma/missab/cgi-bin/links/admin/admin.cgi

I am pretty sure I made all the folders the right permissions and have got the [ath right ?

Any ideas as this looks like a great script :)

May sound silly but have you got the right location of Perl in the CGI scripts, and also have you CHMODed them to 755?

Yes I have...

Although it is not my site and I am nistalling for a friend I have exactly used the loaction line to perl in one of their other scripts so I know it is correct....

I am as sure as I can be that I have set up the configure paths as I should...

I also uploaded in ASCII...

I wanna get this working so bad :)

If your paths and permissions are indeed correct, it is likely your server does not support non parsed headers (nph-files).

Check out the solution in the following thread:

Thomas,

admin.cgi doesn't use them anyway. It is only nph- files that are affected by that.

You are right, Paul. Well, there are other things to check:

- correct perl path
- using the absolute path to links.cfg
- re-checking all permissions

Does the web hosting service allow you access to the server error logs..??????

I have myself normally found that error to be one of the issues mentioned already here.
