showing up on pages...
How do I get rid of the tags from showing up on my pages?

I currently have the original templates installed. The problem is mainly with the cgi generated pages (add.cgi).

Also, when I modify the templates in any way, all tags show up on all pages.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is where I have the directory:
http://www.vgameforce.com/links/

Thanks
Jon

Which tags are you referring to?

LOL! Looks more like the Yahoo Template to me.

Again, what tags are you referring to?

Yes, I looked at your site...But I don't see what you are referring to.

Sorry, I started to fiddle with the Yahoo! templates before I had to go into work last night. And just left them up since they seem to work better.

The tags I am talking about are mainly the (%site_title%), category, etc. tags that seem to always show up when I modify the original or Snap templates. I think it has something to do with the extra coding that netscape composer adds in (dunno for sure).

I should have given you this URL instead, since I am not actively trying to get that one set up as quickly as the other):
http://www.mugdock.com/directory/
(note: some of the links for this directory do not work on purpose).

I used the snap template, then modified the layout quite a bit. As you will see, the (%grand_total%) (%category%) and (%site_title%) tags are still there after I built the pages.

Sorry for the mix up.

Why do you want to get rid of these tags? The problem with the <%site_title%> tag is that you have problem not defined the title of your site in the links.cfg file. The reason that no categories are showing up is that you probably do not have any categories in your categories.db file. The reason that the <%grand_total%> value does not show is that you probably have no links in your links database.

I really don't know why you want to delete these tags. If you want to delete them, then just delete them from your home.html file.

I understand what the tags are for in the templates (I am not too new to cgi scripts). I have several (150+) categories/sub-categories and links.

I have no problems when I upload any of the templates to my site as is then build all. I only begin to have problems when I modify the templates in any way (adding text, image, whatever), upload the changes, then build all.
