i try to use links2 but i always get this error message when i start to
check my links!

Checked 1 - Request Failed (500). Message: Can't connect to
www.yahoo.de:80 (Bad hostname 'www.yahoo.de').
Checked 2 - Request Failed (500). Message: Can't connect to
www.hotbot.com:80 (Protocol not supported).

ok, one step further. the i o socket function now works, but the lwp function is still not working. any idea?

The "Unable to load Parallel User Checker. System Error" message is more of an informational message for the admin than it is an error message. All it is telling you is that nph-verify.cgi could not use the Parallel Checker to verify the links and that the IO::Socket method was used instead. Since the script did verify the links, it was not an error.

ok, i understand! but is it normal, that it takes a few minutes before the checking of the links starts?

at the moment it takes about 4-5 Minutes an sometimes it stops with a browser message document done!
