I need a longer description field than is allowed in the default set up. I found it in one place already: Can I modify the Decription length in links.def after it's already been created and is working? What else do I need to modify?

Can I change that 500 to say 800 without problems or corruption?

Yes change 500, I have mine set to 5000.

Sorry to be so nervous about it, but I have a lot of data added and I'd hate to lose it. I can make this change after the database has been created and written to? And this is the only place that restricts the number of characters in the Description field?
