Hi, When i build my page, i get two errors:

Updating New and Popular Records . . .
What's New Cutoff: 5 days
Popular Cutoff: 2 hits
Updating record: 30, marking as popular (2).
Updating record: 31, marking as popular (2).
Updating record: 33, marking as popular (2).
Updating record: 37, marking as popular (2).
Updating record: 38, marking as popular (2).
Updating record: 39, marking as popular (2).
Updating record: 42, marking as popular (2).
Updating record: 57, marking as popular (2).
Updating record: 58, marking as popular (2).
Updating record: 81, marking as popular (2).
Updating record: 86, marking as popular (2). Updating record: 92, marking as popular (2).
Updating record: 99, marking as popular (2).
Updating record: 103, marking as popular (2).
Updating record: 126, marking as popular (4).
Couldn't rename! Had to copy. Strange: Permission denied

but the whats popular section still seems to work.. here is the other problem:

Updating ratings ..
Updating rating to 9.00 for link id 42
Updating rating to 7.00 for link id 86
Couldn't rename! Had to copy. Strange: Permission denied

this causes the rate page not to work
i cant quite understand the permissions stuff, because i tried setting the data/rates
to 777.

This isn't serious. The rename() function wasn't able to work, so the file was copied the old fashioned way.


Are you sure you have at least 10 votes for the ratings? They won't show up in the Top Rated until a resource has been voted for 10 times.

thank you alex!!!! i found out that the data directory wasnt 777.. so i changed it and got rid of those errors, but i couldnt figure out
the rate problem, until you just told me!
