I just noticed that Links is only showing half of my sites. On the front page a category will show (10) but when you go to that category it is only showing 5 listings. It does the same in the admin when you modify, etc. The total is right but the showing isn't. It wasn't like this before and I don't remember making any changes. Any suggestions appreciated!

Strange. For a test I set the span to only 5 and I just rebuilt and now have the "Next" link but still listing only half. For example, for a category that has 14 listings the first page will list only 5 and the second lists 2 for a total of 7.
When I reset span to 10 it again will only list a total of 7 links and no "Next".

Upon further investigation it appears that I was wrong in my description of the problem.
The amount of links that are showing is correct. It is the $numlinks amount that is incorrect.
For example, $numlinks is showing (10) when there are actually only (5) listings. (Should have realized this when I did the test above )
I apologize for the confusion... it has been a long week...
All suggestions welcomed! TIA

Again...a link to your directory would help us to see the problem...

There's really nothing to see. Looks like any other installation of Links other than the fact that the $numlinks are showing a number that is twice as much as the actual listing per category. For example, if I have a category called "Entertainment" that has 6 listngs in it, it shows up on the main page as "Entertainment (12)". It does this for every category that is listed.

Let me explain something and I am done trying to help you...the $numlinks variable contains values of the total links contained in that category plus sub-categories.
Like the following example (taken from my site):
Theories (7) - 4 listed in this category
Foucault (2) - 2 listed in this subcat
Postmodernism (1) - 1 listed in this subcat
This can be seen at:
vlib.anthrotech.com
Does this shed some light on the subject?
Best of luck with your LINKS project.

No, the $numlinks variable is SUPPOSED to contain the values of the total links contained in that category plus sub-categories, as yours does. Mine doesn't. Mine contains TWICE the values of the total links contained in that category (or at least, that is the number that is being displayed).

Well, what hacks have you added to the sub site_html_print_cat routine in the site_html_templates.pl?
AND BE SPECIFIC, please.
