Server uses pl, no cgi

Server uses pl, no cgi
Hi,
I am using a server that can only handle *.pl files, and no *.cgi files.
Is it possible to rename all extensions cgi to pl and run Links 2.0?
I guess there are references in the scripts to *.cgi files which should be renamed, too...

And:
What do the experts say to this server? Should I stay with it? I think it will give me a lot of work in future...

Greetings
Greg

Hard to tell with this small piece of information...Basing an opinion on stringent policies of appropriate file extensions is very dangerous...so, I can't tell you one way or the other.

I would say run from that company right away. Any company too stupid to be able to map .cgi to be executable for Perl scritps (a SIMPLE procdure) is a company that cannot be trusted. What if something difficult arises? You're in trouble...
