Need help on what to possibly put in the sendmail area of the links.cfg file. Know what server it is (on a linux machine) but this is not correct.

You need to find out from your Host what the path to sendmail is on your system and put that in the configuration. If you have telnet access, you can find out by typing "which sendmail" (without the quotes) at the command prompt.

Remember, you use only the sendmail configuration or the smtp configuration, but NOT both.

Thanks ! I tried the which sendmail on telnet but it just returns with no action back to the prompt, when I try which mail it gives me /bin/mail so I tried the SMTP maoler and it seems to work now

You could have also tried "whereis sendmail" and it would also return one or more paths to sendmail.
