Links 2.0 is installed and running.

But search does not function.

In looking at the source of "index.html" that has been generated I see that the path to search.cgi is not written correctly.

I have tried to modify the "require" in search.cgi as suggested:# Change this to full path to links.cfg if you have problems.

But the path in "index.html" never resembles the path info that I enter.

Where do I need to make a change?

I think that I found the solution.

I seem to have copies the the cgi files into a directory one level into cgi-bin and not into it.

Duh!

Yes, it really is amazing what happens to the performance of software when you place the files in the proper directories.

It is working.
