Please can someone help me!

I have added afew links to my database recently and when I search for a word found in those links, the results show perfectly with the the category name and then the link below, however when I visit the category page that the link was added to, the link is not there...I have re-built the directory and refreshed by browser but the links do not show on the category pages. All others are there, just not the new ones!

Also, my related category URL links to category_name/index.shtml, but the files are category_name/index.html, so you just get an error saying page not found. Why is that?.....everything in links.cfg seems to be ok.

Can someone please help!

I have added a few links to my directory now, and when I rebuild the directory, is says:

Marking link 365 as (new)
Marking link 366 as (new) etc...

...then when I look further down it shows that the link has been added to the appropriate category, as the "total links in category" has gone up 1.

However, when I visit the category page, the link does not show up!

What is going on?

just to make sure: did press also SHIFT while clicking on your browsers reload button..?

just an idea, because you didn't say exactly how you tried to reload...
