I get this error when I rate a link:


Error Message : Can't open for output counter file.

I did search this forum and I found some posts that had to do with this error message but I never found a solution. I never edited rate.cgi. Im wondering if this has somethign to do with templates. Because I edit my templates alot, could that be a reason for this? I am positive my chmodding was done correctly, rates is 777, index.html 644. Thanks

Try re-uploading the index.html file that comes with the ZIP file into the rates folder. Then make sure that the rates folder is chmod 777.

sorry it was my fault, since i remade all my template files, I must have left out something in the origional rate.html from the one I created, I replaced it with the origional rate.html link2.zip came with, thanks.
