Netfirms as a hosting source

Netfirms as a hosting source
Can anyone out there give me some feedback on Netfirms and Links 2.0?

I currently host with Hypermart Wink but am waiting for them to try and terminate my service after they find out I am running Links 2.0. I have talked to Tech Support at Netfirms and they have no problem with Links 2.0, but before I go through the headaches of moving all my files I wanted some feedback from other users who have installed Links 2.0 at Netfirms.

Thanks,

Jorge Laurel

i'm using netfirms.. i dunno where the problem is, is it with my scripts or netfirms. because i get internal server errors here and there then after a few minutes of waiting (no uploading or anything done), they're ok again. you should ask netfirms about this issue, coz maybe it's a problem with their server.

I installed on Netfirms and everything went fine.....UNTIL....I started testing my links validation. Netfirms sent me a nasty email saying that spamming is not allowed.
I explained that I was simply testing my links validation and sending blank emails to myself. Well....they sent me another reply warning against spamming (which I wasn't doing). A day later, they turned off my account with no further explanation.

Word of advice! If you use Netfirms, TURN OFF EMAIL VALIDATION (which pretty much makes Links worthless).

You, NetFirms do allow it to be run on their servers. They just have some funny permissions things like F2s.com do Frown

Like I said, you probably have the permissions set wrong! You can't have it set up correctly, otherwise it would work Wink
