Making Links compatible

Making Links compatible
What I know about perl, you could fit on the head of a pin.

But I had no problem getting links 1.1 up and running properly, now I have to figure how to make it look like my site.

Did I miss something in the readme.txt?

You have to edit site_html.pl.

If you upgrade to Links 2.0, you can use templates instead

If I upgrade to 2.0 will I incur any costs?

I just got the script running yesterday, are the two compatible?

Please remember how much knowledge I have concerning perl. (none...lol)

The main difference is the site_html_templates.pl and the links.cfg file.

You will have to make changes in the links.cfg file and also edit the site_html_templates.pl file if you want to use templates.

The two programs are similar in other processes.

So can I download version 2.0 just to grab the site_html_templates.pl and use it with what I have now?

Do I have to use a new links.cfg?

Thanx for your help, I learn quickly.

Yes...you need to use the links.cfg file that comes with LINKS 2.0. In addition, you will need the nph files that comes with LINKS, too.
