I am trying to get banners rotating in a links page. The script line whereever place on a page calls for the banner. The page must be .shtml not .html in order for the script to do it's thing. Can't get Links to build as .shtml. Any suggestions?
Change your .htaccess file to allow SSI calls in .html files. This has been discussed in the Perl/CGI Forum.

Welp, it wasn't in the Perl/CGI Forum, but the codes are written in a Thread in Gossamer Threads. You should've been proactive and tried searching the other forums.
Anyway, go to the following Thread:

Cheers.

Im using templates and edited the links.cfg file so that the extensions end with .shtml
I changed it to use banner rotation as well
Under build options:
# The name of an index file.
$build_index = "index.shtml";
# The extension to use for non index files:
$build_extension = ".shtml";

skotty,
Good advice...However, Sween's problem is that he or she cannot use .shtml extension in his or her site. So, he or she needs to find a way to allow SSI in .html extensions, which can be done via editing the .htaccess file.
