I downloaded Links2,which looks great by the way. All I get is all the files in one big zip. No different directories,as listed in your readme.txt. It says this!

"Unzip the distribution and you should see two directories cgi-bin and pages. "

There is no seperate directories, why not?

Am I downloading the wrong zip file?

Thanks for the reply Eric,but it didn't help.

I have downloaded it 6 or 7 times (Fully). I opened it with Winzip & Zip magic 2000. Both gave me the same result, a mass of files.

I want to know if there is another place to download besides the main links 2 page. Download it yourself and tell me if you have different results.

Yep...definitely different results...the files and directories are extracted just fine!

What version of WinZIP are you using?

Hi Eric,

I was using Winzip 8 Beta, and I tried it again and still a bad result. So I tried an old version of winrar and it worked fine. Thanks for your help,maybe someone should tell winzip about their beta 8? Thanks Again.

I also downloaded Links2 a while ago, and their was seperate directories in the zip. But maybe when you extract the files they go into one directory?
Try this in winzip: after hitting the extract button, make sure that 'Use Folder Names' is checked before unzipping. Doing that solved my problem also.

Your right, O.K. so I feel like an idiot. I guess 5 years of unzipping files just isn't long enough, thanks Creed, Sorry Eliot.

Well, all I can say is I was I was as good at cgi, as I am at winzip
