Go to the admin.cgi to install for the first time.

When i go there i get a server error.
this is the message i get when i checked my error-log

"Premature end of script headers: /www/cue1/directory/admin/admin.cgi"

What is ment by that? How do i fix it?

Thanks

Is the path to perl correct in your Links2 cgi scripts..?

ie..

add.cgi
rate.cgi
jump.cgi
modify.cgi
search.cgi
subscribe.cgi
/admin/admin.cgi
/admin/nph-build.cgi
/admin/nph-verify.cgi
/admin/nph-email.cgi

I think the default with Links2 is #!/usr/local/bin/perl

Maybe your path is #!/usr/bin/perl

Hmm I think the .exe is off putting for people....

Basically the exe is an Installer VISE file that just extracts the cgi/readme files onto your computer ready for upload..

You then run the main script (installer.cgi) and it will configure links.cfg for you and edit the path to perl in all your Links2 cgi files to make sure they are correct for your server....

I just found out that my server can not execute Non Parsed Header files (nph) via your web browser?

Could this be the reason why i am getting the erorr?

Yes...and to solve this problem, you need to follow the instructions in this forum and in the Resources for NPH files. Search this Forum and the Resoruce section for NPH.
