Home Page is listing directory files...
Whenever I go to my homepage I see this:

http://www.freeclassifiedlinks.com/directory/

Why is the index file not working? I have checked all of my persmissions
and I am not missing any files..

I am sure it is something simple..but I can't seem to find the problem

Yes you do need an index.html file in there Wink, and it needs to be CHMODed to 666!

Links 2 doesn't create the index.html file for you (as far as I know), so you need to make sure that the index.html page is there, and that the pages directory is CHMODed to 777....

Um again, yes it does create the index file - but you still need to rebuild!!

Saying "Why doesn't it work" is like saying "Why does fruit grow on trees"

We can't help unless you provide some information such as what you have in links.cfg, are other pages built, do you get any errors?

All of the paths r correct...

I have gone through everything a dozen times..so Im not sure
where the problem is.

That is why I cant really tell you what is wrong..

I was hoping you could give me some common examples of why
the index file wouldn't be created...and then I could work from that.

Error Message In reply to
Paul,

I just went to rebuild and looked for an error message like you said..
and I got this error message:

Error Message : Error building! Links database is 0 bytes!

Does this help? What should I do?
