I know that this is an easy one that has probably been asked ten zillion times before but I can't find anything when searching with TOP or HOME and there's nothing I can see in resources or faqs....

How do I make TOP link to my main site index.htm (www.mysite/index.htm) and NOT to the default links index (www.mysite/pages/)?? I still want to keep the category pages etc in the pages directory.

Really??? There are tons of threads that address this in the Links 2.0 Customization forum.

Did you try using the following search criteria???

Forum: Links 2.0 Customization Forum
Keywords: Top
Options: And
Date Range: All posts
Hits: 250

If not, try that next time...betcha that you will find relevant threads. Using the default search options is not a good idea since they do not provide a set of relevant search results.

Anyway...Open your nph-build.cgi...go to the sub build_linked_title routine and change the link reference near TOP to your homepage address.

Thanks. I will have a go using your advice. I did do a search - honest - using HOME TOP with OR option on ALL FORUMS and went through loads of pages of results before giving up. Also tried FAQ and another section that I forget now.

It is really hard to get good results searching these forums when you don't know the tricks or have a good idea of what is in here already - I came across a thread on this very subject while searching for the above that really hammered the system here.

Alex is updating the forum software within the next week or so and is hopefully making some futher updates to the site, so hopefully this will help a great deal.
