Hits Counter not working

Hits Counter not working
Thanks for all the help for my previous questions. I got a new problem. The hit counter doesn't seem to work. It keeps saying 0 hits. Any reason for that? I CHMOD the hits directory 777. Do i need to change permission for the file inside too? Let me know Thanks

The index.count file should be set to 666.

Have your rebuilt recently? The statistics on your directory pages will remain the same untill the next time you rebuild. Also, make sure your links are going to jump.cgi and that files are being created in the hits directory.

I did all that but still doesn't work.. Would adding on the priorty or category title mod affect that in any way?

Double check the IMPORTANT VARIABLES in the links.def file. Make sure that you have properly re-numbered all the IMPORTANT VARIABLES.
