Hi all
I'm moving to a new host and can't get my links 2.0 to work.
I have set path to new host corect.
I have set all the permissions corect.
I have looked all over Links 2.0 Installation -- Unix for Lee's post
but I can't find it at all.
I can view all my db links, I can search for them, I can do all but Build.
When I try to build I get an error saying

CGI ERROR
==========================================
Error Message : Unable to copy links backup. Reason: Permission denied
Script Location : /home/simpsons/web/cgi-bin/links/admin/nph-build.cgi
Perl Version : 5.00503

could someone please help me out.

I did that and now I get a new error "gee's it's been a long day"
now I get

chmod the files according to the readme

/hits should be 777 index.count 666.

Well I must have an old links read me :)
I have done all of that and found I needed links.db.bak
but I read a post a wile back that so took care of it.
Well it now builds yepeee.
Look like I need to cdmod all the pages now but I can see a light
at the end of this tunnal now :))))

If you are moving to a new host, as long as all the database files are ok, and it builds you can delete all of the folders within the pages directory. This will then enable Links 2 to re-create the files and folders much faster than you having to go through and CHMOD every folder and file Wink Make sure you CHMOd index.html in the /pages/ folder to 666 though and the pages folder to 777!

Hope that saves you a bit of time
