Hello--
Right now we are evaluating Links on an NT box, but may be switching to Linux in the next few months (I am at the mercy of others' decisions...).
If we do choose to use Links, which looks like a great program, but switch to Linux after we've put 3000 sites in the databases, are the databases going to work? I've heard horror stories about differences between Unix and NT file systems, and had rather not be a part of one.
I've checked the list archives and found problems people had switching from Unix to NT, but they seemed to revolve around NT's handling of Perl. So I'm assuming we won't have a problems with the db files themselves, but I wanted to be sure before we sink the effort into building the databases.
Thanks for any insight.
