I moved my links 2.0 installation from one server where it was working fine (Perl 5.00503) to another server running (Perl 5.008) and had two problems. One I can't seem to resolve, but I think they're related
1. The first was the INVALID DATE FORMAT issue that I corrected by following the instructions to modify links.cfg as detailed here
http://www.gossamer-threads.com/...orum.cgi?post=123915
2. The second problem is the BLANK WHAT'S NEW PAGE. I think it might be related to this time "bug" but I can't verify it. I searched here for an hour and a half but I found only half a dozen threads where folks said they had exactly the same problem. Those threads all died off with no resolution
as in say here:
http://www.gossamer-threads.com/...?post=147824;#147824
3. Some of my configuration details
a. $db_new_cutoff = 30; # 30 days old
1. I tried printing $days in build.nph and found that all my links are coming up 900+ days old, even though several are newer.
2. I tried entering dates in different formats (14-Nov-2003 or 14-Nov-03) or forcing IS_NEW to yes and it still didn't come up as new
3. I tried changing $db_new_cutoff to something huge like 1060 but I still got only 2 new links and they were a couple old ones.
Thanks for your help,
Matt
