Search the forum or cause this question has been asked frequently before.

Or you could look in the resource center cause someone has posted a solution to this.

I found a script that makes password protecting a directory easy. I hate messing with those htaccess and htpasswd files. It is called Database Manager and is just one script that is very easy to set up. You can passord protect directories very easy and customize your error pages. You can also upload files without an ftp client. I find it very useful.
Database Manager is just like an ftp client, only it runs from your web browser. Download -
