403 error on PAGES directory

403 error on PAGES directory
Hi:

Installed script, can add entries etc no problem. The data is being added to the categories.db and links.db files.

Problem is that they are not creating files in my PAGES directory. It remains empty (and I get a 403 error).

I'm sure that the paths are correct in my links.cfg file and I've CHMOD my PAGES directory to 777.

The pages directory should just have two files in it to start with: the links.css file and the bgimage.gif file?

Any ideas? Does the "PAGES" directory have to go in the CGI-BIN directory too? I've currently got that in my HTDOCS directory.

Thanks!

My cfg info:
============

# PATH and URL of Admin CGI directory. No Trailing Slash.
$db_script_path = "/data/sites/netget.ca/cgi-bin/links/admin";
$db_dir_url = "http://netget.ca/cgi-bin/links/admin";

# URL of User CGI directory. No Trailing Slash.
$db_cgi_url = "http://netget.ca/cgi-bin/links";

# PATH and URL of Pages to be built. No Trailing Slash.
$build_root_path = "/data/sites/netget.ca/htdocs/pages";
$build_root_url = "http://netget.ca/pages";

YES! The pages direcory NEEDS to be OUTSIDE your cgi-bin as discussed quite a few times in this forum.
