Ok, I was, for the most part, able to get Links 2.0 running without inflicting too much personal injury. :) However, I have 2 permission denied errors. I have checked and rechecked my chmod commands by the readme.txt. Here's what I'm getting:

1. Unable to copy links backup. Reason: Permission denied

2. unable to open home page: /usr/home17/mustang/public_html/index.htm. Reason: Permission denied

So far, "build all" dies very quickly b/c it can't back up the data. If I do a staggered build, it makes it a little further, but does when trying to write the index.htm file in the main directory. Once again, i have checked the permissions, and I can't seem to locate anything that's incorrect. maybe i'm overlooking something here and someone can help me a little. thanks!

I submitted that detailed permissions listing to the FAQ category a minute ago. That doesn't guarantee anyone will look there, though. Last night I suggested in the GT Gereral Discussion forum that Alex add a reminder to the "post new thread" page for users to check the resource center and search the forum before posting.
