Something is going wrong when I validate my links. The links people are submitting come in with an ID number in the 20s, and my "normal" links database has IDs in the 250s. When I validate a new link, it gets added to the bottom of links.db with an ID that is in the 20s.

For example, I already had a link ID 21 in my database, and I validated a link with ID 21. It went in at the bottom of links.db with an ID of 21. When I build my html, the new ID 21 is the one that shows up. However, when I search the database from admin.cgi the original ID 21 shows up.

What got messed up, and how do I fix it?

First of all restore your database and make sure each link has its unique ID. Also check if your linkid.txt file reflects the actual number of links in your database.

linksid.txt did have the wrong number in it... I have no idea how it got that way, but it's fixed now! thanks!

You're welcome. The same thing happened to me once after an autosubmitter managed to submit a link to my database with LinkID 0000 (which by accident has happened today again).
