subcat created with index.html why?

subcat created with index.html why?
When I make my subcats they all have the file name of index.html, but in different files example:
http://its-here.virtualave.net/pages/Automotive/Auto_Accessories/index.html

Actually, the Building Pages report list the filename as:
/home/its-here/public_html/pages/Automotive/index.html

And the actual page is listed http://its-here.virtualave.net/pages/Automotive/Auto_Accessories/

Is it suppose to be this way?

Yes, it is supposed to be that way. Most servers default to index.html as the document to load from any URL when a document name is not specified. So,

Quote:
http://its-here.virtualave.net/pages/Automotive/Auto_Accessories/

is essentially the same as:

Quote:
http://its-here.virtualave.net/pages/Automotive/Auto_Accessories/index.html

I hope this helps.

Thanks,

I just wanted to make sure. This is my first script and I have over 2000 links to convert and didn't want to get over half way through and go oops Smile
