i have always heard that php is faster and better. ( and now php 4.0 promosies a lot faster ) why doesn't links make with php?? is php really that much better??

Uh...there is a PHP version of LINKS, which is linked in the Links Customization Forum...and IMHO PHP is nothing but a glorified SSI scripting language. Perl and CGI actually process faster especially if you couple them with mod_perl and MySQL.
