When I run the Verify Links (regular or detailed), it always gets to the same link and continues to run, but never moves beyond that URL.

I tried running the script from the command line and get the same result. Does anyone have any suggestions, other than using an external link checker?

For the first part of your posting, i will suggest you to clear the cache of your PC and then run it again
