Where would I fix a little "design" problem in my home.html page ? the "new" text is moving down under the category title apparently because of space.

You need to edit the HTML codes between the $output .= and |; codes in the sub site_html_print_cat routine in the site_html_templates.pl file.

Here are some suggestions (provided many times in this forum and in the Customiztion Forum...which should be searched first before posting questions)....

1) Delete all the CSS codes in this sub.
2) Delete all the definition listing codes (<dt><dl></dt></dl>)
3) Add your own font and table codes in this sub.
