Getting an error:

COMMAND:> SITE CHMOD 666 links.db
550 links2.db: Operation not permitted.

With all other files it is working fine.
Is it possible that links2 did not finish
ome processes? because i can't validate new links
and can't save edited templates in admin.cgi
yesterday everything was fine.

What should i do?

Read the FAQ in the Resource Center in the Links: FAQ section that covers keeping the read/write permissions (666) of the links.db file...also this has been discussed in greate detail in MANY Threads in the various Links 2.0 forums.

Thank you, but i've already added 2 lines of code to nph-build.cgi file.
The problem is - i can not change permission of links.db back to 666 manualy via FTP programs. Other files are fine, but links.db is not. I did not found the answer.

Delete the links.db, then upload your local copy of links.db to the data folder. Then change the permissions to READ/WRITABLE (666). THEN run your nph-build.cgi script.

local copy had less links in it.
i downloaded links.db from the server back to my machine,
deleted links.db on the server, upload links.db to the server and was able to change permission.

Well, you could've also downloaded your links.db backup file in your backup directory and then done what I mentioned....

You are keeping backups of your database files, RIGHT?
