hi
when i change my categories and then make staggered auto, my changes to the categories are not taken into account: the script builds me new pages for the new categories but the cat_sel file is not updated and so people can't add their sites to the new categories.
I've checked the permissions and it seems ok

There is no cat_sel file in Links 2.0...

yes there is in the data folder. The add.cgi script uses it to build the list of categories where people can add their site...

Oh really? Guess what's in my data folder (and everyone else's):
Folders:
hits
rates

Files:
categories.db
categoryid.txt
email.db
links.db
linksid.txt
modified.db
url.db
validate.db

The category select list is created dynamicly from categories.db each time add.cgi is executed; it is not saved anywhere. With that said, if you do have this 'cat_sel' file, either you have a different version of Links than the rest of us or you have modified the script to create this file.

Let me guess...you are using Bobsie's Category Select Mod, right? Well, you must've neglected to add all the pertinent codes in the files. I would go over the Mod instructions again and make sure that you are using all the correct codes.
