I have the new nested ifs mod/enhanced template support installed but i still dont understand what is the problem

Do you have the codes between the <head></head> tags? Also, there is no specification for date added or new in the category.def file, which means that this will not function properly.

Theoretically, in order for this to work, you would have to add at least one new field in your category.def file...isNew (or something like that)!
