There isn't a real need to use lots of uppercase text in the subject to draw attention to your post.....it will be answered at the same pace as everyone elses.

not trying to draw attention, it's the way I think when I am writing. Still not used to the talking style of the net. It's how I do a subject in all my letters. Sorry.

Well anyway.........
"Cannot write" suggest a permissions problem.
Check that the permissions of your Links2 files are accurate.

It appears that the write error was caused by the /var partition area was full, and no more space available. My isp cleared the area, and it worked fine.
