This isn't working - MORE ideas needed!!
I'm still having problems with the German spammer. I've tried the main ideas in the "German spammer" threads. The problem is that they are targeted to
a/ autosubmit type or spam; or
b/ lazy types.

This one doesn't fit either description. He/she/it seems to visit the site (referer is my links page) and apparently finds joy in filling in random numbers for all his/hers/its smutpages.

I got another 5 tonight and 1 yesterday after the "defences" were in place.

The following link is awaiting validation:

Title: Amateursexcams - hier findest Du über 9000 Amateure live vor der Cam.
URL: http://www.niedliche.com
Category: Recipes/Drink
Description: Hier findest Du alles was im Net Spass machst! Hier findest Du meine private Seite www niedliche com
Contact Name: Oliver Ellermeier
Contact Email: vanessa-e@gmx.at

Remote Host: pd90141b2.dip.t-dialin.net
Referer: http://www.bahnhof.se/~chimbis/tocb/links/

How do I filter out the ****wit on other stuff than Referer? If Links was a PHP script I would've done by now but it isn't.

PHP is not necessarily more secure....Wink

What I would recommend doing is using $ENV{'REMOTE_ADDR'} in the &send_email routine in the add.cgi script.

Then use the BLOCK URL mod (but adapt it to use IP addresses) found at:
