Table Background Colour

Table Background Colour
Every time i build my site and view it, it seems too loose its background colour i have set for the tables. They are all just white. I have tried setting a cell bgcolor and also tried setting a bgpicture but both dont show.

Wghat im i doing wrong ?

Remove the CSS references from your templates (in the <HEAD>).

BTW: Background colors like .jpg backgrounds only work in IE.
