Strip Carriage?
To Eloit or whom it may concerns,

I have successfully installed Links2.0 on my host and i've followed the readme file cautiously. however, when I open the admin.cgi file I recieve this message in the browser:

==========================================
Error Message : fatal error: (Maybe you didn't strip carriage returns after a network transfer?)
==========================================

What is a 'strip carriage return' and what do I need to do to resolve this problem immediately?!

You need to transfer the files in ASCII mode. The strip carriage (^M) means that you did not transfer the files in ASCII mode.
