Why is this happening, is somehow the jump CGI getting confused ?

Try building the site then clicking on the link, this should sort the problem.

Not 100% sure but should id not be ID, I checked my copy of links and yes it is in capitals, are you on a unix server, unix is CaSe SeNsItIvE.

Yes, the parameter should be ID. But the problem is that you have not re-built your index and therefore the url.db is not updated, which means that the link you are trying to access is not found and thus, the jump.cgi script chokes.
