Server Side Includes
Is there anyway I can change the template pages to .shtml, so that I can use server side includes on the pages. I've tried editing them and saving them, but when the pages are built they are still html.

When you installed LINKS, the index name and file etension were options you chose to ignore by not thoroughly reading through the configuration file (links.cfg). Now you're going to have to delete all your .html files before you switch file extensions.
