Reformatting the "New" web pages

Reformatting the "New" web pages
Hi there. I was wondering if there is a way to break-up the "New" pages so that there are only a certain number of links that appear on each page. I just added 145 links today and the web page that was created is quite large. It took about 25 seconds on a 44,000 bps connection to download the page. My concern is that users who have slower connections will get frustrated with the long download time.

Any mods or suggestions for fixing this problem is greatly appreciated.

TIA

Well, Links will automatically setup individual pages based on date if $build_span_pages is turned on in links.cfg. However, there is no hope, at this time, of further breaking down the pages within the same date. The only thing you can do is go in to the database and change the dates to more evenly spread it out.

I hope this helps.

Yes, I know that it builds by day. May be the next release will include the ability to show links like on the "links.html" file, which breaks up the pages into the number of default links specified in the script.
