Hi. I have everthing set up and the search works perfectly with Netscape. However, with Internet Explorer it doesn't work all the time. If I do a search for credit cards, for example: Sometimes the address window has shows http://...search.cgi?query=credit+cards and the page displays the search results. Other times it just show http://...search.cgi?. Somehow it doesn't pull in the query and nothing happens. The page doesn't change and I don't get an error message. I would then have to close the browser and then launch it again in order for it to work. After a few sample searches the same thing would happen again. I've never had this problem with Netscape just IE. I've had it with both IE 4 and IE 5 on Win 98/Win NT.

Any suggestions?

How about providing us the URL to your search_results.html template file, or the URL to your search engine??? So, that we can see what you are talking about.

I just built it using the "Build All" option. It seems to be working okay now. I also did that before and it didn't make any difference then. Who knows what's going on. It was happening for the last two days. It was just really weird. Hopefully, it won't happen again.

I take that back. I'm now trying it from my work computer with IE 4/Win NT 4 and it's giving me the same problem.

The computer here doesn't allow pages to be cached. I don't know if that makes any difference but I thought I'd mention it.

That seems to be a personal problem with your PC at work. Try re-configuring IE to cache every session via the Internet Options in the menu bar.
