Creating Pages with Front Page
Hello... Also meant to ask for advice on editing my templates using Front Page! I am not familiar with cgi and perl etc. I have been spoilt with FP as I find it very convenient to build what I have in mind this way! HTML...I am reasonably OK with ... point is can I copy html from templates... copy to FP and edit .... then paste back to templates ... and save! Will this work? Or will I be making big problems for myself??

Please advise?? Many thanks!

Yeah, it works ok for me. Just be sure that the pages will show ok in Netscape, and also remember you can't have tags on one line, they need to be seperated. E.g

<%if URL%><%URL%><%endif%>

would need to be;
<%if URL%>
<%URL%>
<%endif%>

Hope that helps

And make sure you have Frontpage configured to leave the code as it is otherwise it will change the code. When I was using FP I set it to create only for NS and 99.5 per cent of the time it worked and looked great under IE.

Hope that helps

In FP 2000, go to Tools/Page Options. Then, there is a tab in there that says, "HTML Source."
