Promlems changing extension to shtml
Hi, I would be delighted if someone could help me. I have a strange problem. I need to change extension of my index file to shtml to be able to use ssi.
I have changed links.cfg to make it build pages with shtml extensio and it works well.
Also i have deleted old index.html file.
When I try to open my updated page i get an message that i am not authorized person to see the file.ok?
BUT if i write compelete web address to index.shtml ie i open it with browser like: www.mypage.com/links/pages/index.shtml, there is no problem.
Only If I try to open it normally ie.www.mypages.com/links/pages, then i get this message.
IT REALLY PISSES ME OFF
Please help

You don't have your server set to open index.shtml by default -- and it sounds like directory browsing is turned off. I'm not going to tell you what to change in your .htaccess file... but you'll find that this has been thoroughly covered (multiple times) in this forum and the cgi/perl forum.

Happy Coding,
