Hi there.. I've tried numerous methods of converting the DMOZ data into Links 2.0 and either I'm dumb or it's just not that easy...

I tried using the script Hyperseek users have been running and run out of memory on a 512 meg RAM box... granted there is other stuff on there...

Then I thought I'd be smart and tried my own conversion... bzzz.. wrong answer!

So, someone out there can do this conversion easily and I'd be willing to pay them to generate a valid categories.db and links.db file from top/regional/canada

The "tree" should start at Canada and go down (in other words I don't want the top and regional parts to show)... simple enough?

my advice to you is to upgrade to links SQL
because canada has over 21,000 links and link2 can not handle that many links.
links SQL comes with it's own conversion utility, it's alot faster and better.

It's something that we are looking at doing down the road... but right now it'll be fine as the db itself will live in a RAMdrive so speed shouldn't be an issue..
