I was wondering if anyone makes big use of this feature and how it would perform say with 5,000 or 20,000 upwards mailings, anyone with any experience of this on a unix box with sendmail? opinions, wise words, appreciated.

Yes...it would hog system resources. I am using another email subscribe program because the one in LINKS is too slow. I have over 2,000 subscribers.
