My new site need new links and visitors!!!

I have used Submit Wolf Pro to submit my site and got only minimal traffic.

Any advise on a better way of generating traffic and getting new links is greatly appreciated.

P.S. Your advise on the design and content of the site is also greatly appreciated

There's no such thing as "build, and they'll come" on the net ... Your site has to offer the visitor something other sites don't. And frankly, your site doesn't offer anything. You can't expect to compete with Yahoo just like that.
You might want to focus on something, so that you attract special interst groups.
You might also want to add sites yourself ...

John, you actually got to this site? I get nothing but a 404 when I try to access it... it's because (I think) it's looking for links.css when it loads the index, but links.css is not found so it can't load the index page either... This is a rathr aggravating behavior of Netscape 4.5
