Netscape 6 will have a sidebar.
This will be a frame at the left side of the browser window.

In default case the sidebar is a [from aol/netscape] given frame:
Content is: FORMs to search engines and to a [aol?] META-search engine.

But we can develope alternative sidebars, please see:

A mod for links2.0:

The mod should make *online*-sidebars for NS6.

I already have this running on my site. I don't know how this could be a links mod though. It's really easy to set up. The only thing I could see using links with it would be using something like the xml mod to make the newest links show up on your sidebar page.
