I know this has been asked before, but exactly why do I get multiple validation e-mails for the same link, same category, all sent to me at the same time? Sometimes up to 10-15 validation e-mails for the same link. Is this just over-abuse of the submit button in the ADD form or a robot spammer going nuts on my site?

Yes...if people hit the submit button continuously, then you will get duplicated records and thus sent multiple validation emails...I already posted codes for reducing this problem about eight months ago in the Perl/CGI forum and in a number of other threads in the Links 2.0 Forums.
